Sports Solutions: ASIS Project
XELIOS BIOMETRICS S.A. created ASIS (International Soccer Identification System), a Biometrics identification system specifically geared to soccer stadiums and sports venues of large capacity.
ASIS is a system able to:
- Reduce fraud.
- Avoid violent viewers access to the facilities.
- Facilitate access to the spectator “legal”, thanks to the convenience of an act as simple as putting your finger on a sensor.
- System interoperates with existing access control.
- Enable the exchange of records between national and international club agencies, to be able to connect to its database

Access control, Santiago Bernabéu stadium, Real Madrid
Previously, since mid-2008, the Bernabeu Real Madrid Soccer stadium incorporated the Xelios biometrics solution into the Santiago Bernabeu stadium as well as in the Valdebebas Sport Club.
Premier League Stadiums in Argentina
From November 2011, Xelios Biometrics is deploying this solution in all the Premier League Soccer Stadiums, after the signature of an agreement with Telecom Argentina, UTNFBA (National Technology University of the City of Buenos Aires) and AFA (Argentinian Football Association)
An efficient and safe use of the fingerprint
The sensor performs a 3D image, minutiae or points of recognition are extracted and an identification algorithm is established though the minutiae that are stored in PKI (Public Key Infrastructure) format. This structure is the one used by the user to prove he is the one he claims to be.
Identification 1:N (Fingerprint)
The captured fingerprint is compared against database terminal 1:N (one/many). Depending on the license installed, the Terminal MA5XX can store 3000 users (2 fingerprints per user) in its local memory or 50 000 members divided into 5 databases of 10 000 users each. (Users per tern/windlass).
Verification 1:1 (Card plus fingerprint)
The captured fingerprint is compared against a reference fingerprint 1:1 (one/one). The minutiae of the user is stored in the DB or the local MA520. In this case the user identifier is used as a key to find the minutiae. The user ID can be sent via Wiegand, DataClock, typed or stored in a contact card (ISO14443 A&B).
Our sensors have a False Acceptance Rate (FAR) of 8.10, much higher than traditional physical media. The structure of the algorithms obtained in fingerprint recognition PKI (Public Key Infrastructure) ensures the security and treatment in identifications, allowing compliance with the Data Protection Laws. Thousands of large-scale projects and millions of users guarantee their use and performance.

- Denies access to persons not authorized by violence (and thus, reduces the penalties imposed on clubs for this reason)
- Facilitates the identification of individuals even if they lack documentation

- Determines authorized access of the press, employees or subcontractors

The fingerprint provides unprecedented mobility. Since users are identified by the “what is” there is no longer a need for the use of physical elements that could be lost, copied, stolen or deprogrammed.
All sensors are adapted for easy positioning of the finger. They also allow reading at different angles. Recognition time is less than one second for guaranteeing access, this is a much higher ratio than other technologies.
Thanks to the treatment of PKI we can establish a political loyalty and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) with our customers. Thus, a user who is not a partner, but who usually purchases tickets, may also receive customized services (subscriber offering, merchandising, web services…) As a partner, you can be identified on the web for promotions or access to personal accounts, can be identified on events, voting, etc…
